Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy can be a very effective way at overcoming a number of different issues. Hypnotherapy works with your unconscious mind where positive changes can be installed using positive visualisation and hypnotic suggestion.

Whether a previous experience may have caused an unwanted issue to arise, something has become an unwanted habit or an issue has surfaced for no apparent reason; hypnotherapy can uncover and repair the unwanted behaviours and remove the blocks that may have been preventing you from moving forward.

Hypnosis is not sleep, it is a state of focused concentration – a very natural state that we all go in and out of many times a day. The experience can also be compared to meditation or daydreaming. It is while in this state of mind that the logical, analytical mind temporarily sleeps and the unconscious mind becomes open to receive suggestions and ideas to create beneficial changes.

In a hypnotherapy session you are guided by your therapist into a calm relaxed state, where you are totally focused on their voice and the images being created in your mind to create positive change. For those that do not find it easy to relax, hypnotherapy can also be experienced in a more conversational manner.

Hypnotherapy is generally considered to create beneficial change more quickly than other psychotherapy techniques and progress generally becomes apparent within a relatively short number of sessions.

Issues that may be helped include:  confidence and self esteem, fears and phobias, weight loss, quitting smoking, anxiety and panic, unwanted habits, performance anxiety and relationship issues.
